My girlfriend bought me a mincer attachment for my Kenwood Chef Major. What cuts of meat would you use in it for best results? I want to mince beef, lamb and turkey mostly.

237SJ Each to their own -I prefer my burgers cooked rare with no fat -I have no care for munching on half cooked sinews and fat. You cook a sirloin steak and people say 'oh yes that tastes great what flavor! -so why if you mince it ,add herbs and seasoning, and cook it as a burger is it all of a sudden 'dry and tasteless you need to add fat? Of course I would not mince fillet steak that is stupid -I hate steak tartare and mincing fillet would be a waste of time. No wonder people say English cannot cook! lol!
sherrardk - you can add herbs, seasoning and make steak go further if you are having a BBQ - sometimes kids prefer burgers - you can add onions, even breadcrumbs, mushrooms -its just something different.
Ok, I wouldn't mince a steak to make a burger - just seems wrong somehow,
Each to their own . Making 2 lb of rump steak feed say 12 people for a BBQ is both thrifty and delicious. Don't get me wrong -I like a huge juicy steak as much as the next carnivore, its nice to do other things now and again.
