I think most people bring home their babys.
I knew what you meant,just being joky - obviously they needed to use the alternative to fit the grid.

We do use 'Babe' here in the North quite a lot.

My OH hates the term 'babe.' I sometimes call him it to wind him up. He says I'm not a blimmin pig!
Tee hee - I think you'll find 'Babe' was used for a Baby long before Dick King-Smith wrote the 'Sheep-Pig.
