Are people who depict Mohamed, which is frowned upon by Muslims, committing an act of blasphemy? If so, is this punishable by law, if blasphemy is illegal in the state in which the offending image is published?

Islam forbids the creation of depictions of Mohammed, but the west doesn’t. However, some Islamists insist on attempting to impose the restrictions placed on them upon the rest of us.
Since blasphemy is a ridiculous concept I guess you can include anything you can imagine as being blasphemy. And since law is a law unto itself, the elites in a State can opt to punish anyone for anything.

Blasphemy laws were abolished in this country in 2008.
It's probably blasphemous for muslims, but it's ok for me because I'm not one. I'm always drawing pictures of him.
^Ha ha!

Actually, I don't think blasphemy laws in this country ever applied to Islam.
DTC, have you heard of the idea that Arabic "bukra insha'allah" has the same meaning as Spanish "mañana”, but without that sense of urgency?

I know there are blasphemy laws in Ireland, which i find a ridiculous notion anyway, but i don't know if they apply to all religions or just Christianity.
/But to a believer the very existence of an atheist can be blasphemous/

which demonstrates the utter stupidity of being a believer....
I am more than aware, Quiz, a reasonable amount of Arabic aboard.

Dreckly is similar as it can mean in five minutes or five days, and serves to pish off folk like American women who are often to time-literate, not understanding the concept of negotiating space to do (or not do) something.
