I ordered a will on the 27th December and paid £10.

Today I got the email telling me it had been delivered so I logged in to my account but I can see no way of saving, downloading or viewing the will.

Can anyone help? I have emailed gov.uk but am being forwarded to different departments.

Ooops. Sorry for casting aspersions
hc, these are wills that have gone through probate so you can look at any deceased person's last will and testament.

Does this go for anybody or do you have to be related or show some kind of ID?

They are public documents so anybody can read them.

Years ago, wills used to be published in the local newspapers and even now the national newspapers publish wills of note.
Hmmm using wills to prove paternity .... difficult

what about the baptismal record ?
The parishes were otherwise responsible for the child so they were VERY keen to identify the father or not as it meant money

In our fambly, one (g)n- father's widow destroyed all the papers in a bonfire and we concluded that she wouldnt be able to show she was married and therefore entitled to inherit, so it all went up the chimney and she pleaded she hadnt got documents .... and he had died married and intestate
