Starlings, Do They Fly South For The Winter?

There used to be lots of them descending on the bird feeders. I haven't seen any for a while.

Maybe they fly south to Sussex. There are LOADS of them here in Brighton

It seems that they have disappeared from many areas altogether (not sure why) but there are strong holds in other areas, also small pockets her and there.

A similar decline has also been seen in our wee sparrows, hope they will recover in numbers.
