If you receive an email with an attached remittance advice do not on any account open the attachment.
I just received one and did not recognise I had bought anything from Saint Gobain Ltd so googled it. This is new (looks like started today) and carries malware that will do a lot of damage to your computer.
I think we should have a special "spam" section in Topics as there are so many of these and this will quickly get lost in Chatterbank.

Thanks. I have 4 email accounts- two for work and close friends/family and two 'disposable' ones for other uses. I get a total of at least 50 spam emails a day (mainly in the two disposable accounts and usually going straight to Spam). Apart from the emails from banks I don't use I get loads now offering me a free ipad/phone/Smeg oven/Dyson if I test theirs, my free Tesco, Amazon, Groupon vouchers, my Sainsbury 'free fuel test', my HMRC tax refund, my parking violation notice, my refund from very, my inheritance, my lottery winnings...

I think there be just too many scams to mention, but maybe we could have a section just for the most convincing ones
Or maybe just a decent anti virus that will pick it up. Just a thought.

Good point factor. There are loads of spam and most of mine go straight to junk/spam folder. I never click on anything I dont recognise as genuine but this one looked like it could be. Thought I would warn people as it is reportedly particularly evil!
Thanks for the heads up grasscarp. xx

Dear all! a comma in the amount. The ridiculous amount. and the invite to open the dreaded attachment.
Wow grasscarp. That's really worrying isn't it? I haven't had any of those emails... yet!

They dont worry me much, it is just that there are people out there who may not realise how dangerous they are and think they will just click on it. Arrggh!
True. xx
Thank you Grass, I did comment about these scams a few months back, the main reason I did was to try and warn the very elderly that use this site & the net & who don't seem to think that there is something not right, what happened? Nothing, the site does not seem interested.
