Terrible tragedy

Eyewitness just said on Sky news it was travelling at 70-100 mph, surely a bin lorry couldn't do that speed.

How truly dreadful, children too. How come it got to that speed? Perhaps the driver's foot jammed on the accelerator. No words apart from dreadful. I know George Square.

The lorry would be limited 56-60 mph but if it had an automatic gearbox and the accelerator was jammed on it would pick up speed quickly.
