Not sure what SYDD is but Ive done this with wooden boards. generally use a tiny spot of sunflower oil. Very small amount and rub till it spreads all over the surface. Leave for a while to soak in, them remove then excess.
No never, how much is the stuff you buy? Isn't it cheaper to buy a new board?
It's SKYDD (!) and it's just white mineral oil...
Why would you ? ,enough to do in kitchen without that.
Oiling wooden chopping boards will prolong their life...and, if they're expensive ones, could be worthwhile. That's why you would.

Correct Gingerbee Skydd I was autocorrected. So, did I apply it correctly. Yes, my boards were expensive and looked a bit washed out.
I just use a few drops of olive oil and rub them into the wood. Works perfectly. I like my wooden chopping board. It was quite an expensive one so I want to prolong it's life as much as poss. Good luck Sam xx

Thanks Jan, they look better now.
I use sunflower oil, olive oil or similar for chopping boards and also for my wooden coffee table and I used to use it for my kitchen table. Just a little on a cloth or a piece of kitchen towel and rub in gently, no need to buy special stuff.
