Passing the news stand this afternoon I noticed that the headline in the Daily Express was, "Ibuprofen can add 12 years to your life".

Nice one, Sqad, I shall never doubt you again.

LOL.
I did not see the article (headline); curosity is killing me. How did it say ibuprofen could add years to your life?

I didn't read it in detail but apparently it plays a part in slowing down the ageing process.
Ok thanks, I found the article, makes sense!

Then thanks to sqad, most abers can look forward to a few extra years before popping their mortal coil.
Well... I'll await the NHS to advise daily dose before I opt to. Knowing my luck it'd be an extra 12 years bewildered in a nursing home.
Caution, Iburofen put me in A & E a few years ago, I'd been proscribed it as an antinflammatory, despite me going back to my GP several times who insisted that it was perfectly safe, it took me a couple of years to get over.
In what way did it cause you to be hospitalised? Overdose or an adverse reaction?
Ibuprofen can be harsh on the stomach lining. It can have the same effect as Aspirin in that respect. Maybe it was that.
Sorry, forgot to get back to you. I was taking it for some time as I'd torn ligaments and muscle in a shoulder, I was getting stomach pain and was seeing my GP at least twice a week, extremely unusual for me, but he said it had nothing to do with the medication. My oh took me to A&E when I started haemmoraging ( is that spelt right?). I was admitted to hospital and kept in for 2 weeks, 10 days of that was nil by mouth with 5 ml sips of water every hour.
That was nearly 14 years ago but I and my family are very cautious about
medication, we are all rudely healthy thank goodness
Yes, Ibuprofen can prolong your life, as long as you are a yeast cell.
How much and when? I'll stop when the old folks' home beckons.
