I've seen them done on tv. Looked very hit and miss and an awful lot of flaffing about, but then I not a very good cook!
Brandy snap baskets are far easier to do.
here's my recipe
Go to supermarket
buy ready made
take home
fill with your choice of filling

Well, i looked round my middle sized tesco today and could only see the rather large brandy baskets. I'll check Asda out !!!!
They are very fiddly to make. It's the rolling them that is the problem they go hard very quickly so you have to keep warming the remaining one and is time consuming and frustrating. Supermarket or bakery is best
Sorry Hammerman , I meant baskets are easier to make/mould and you can do them any size you wish over a small glass/jar or whatever (lightly oiled).
You see? That's the secret; you have to be slightly oiled. No good making them when you're stone cold sober!
I'm with woof on this one! Although my recipe instructions are slightly more detailed:
1)Head off to supermarket, drive around carpark four times to find a space.
2)Once suitable carparking space found, lock car and head towards store.
3)Go back to car once you realise that wallet has been left in glove box.
4)Avoid being barged into by customers wrongly thinking they are on Supermarket Sweep.
5) Hunt down ready made brandy snaps with no luck. Spend 5 minutes looking for a member of staff, only to be told they are in Aisle 13
6) Look like a complete twit gazing at aisle numbers. Find said aisle then have to ask another staff member for more detailed directions.
7) Join a queue. Avoid 'basket' shoppers as they flaff, and generally by themselves. Find a queue that looks long on first glance, but in fact has only one trolley in queue, along with a whole family to quickly pack their goods.
8) Talk nicely to cashier whilst they offer to pack your bags in an illogical way
9) Find car! Where did I park it?
10) Swear when you get home that you got more goods that can fit in your freezer
11)Separate brandy snaps from the rest of your shopping and fill with your choice of filling. Swear, and realise you forgot fillings.
12)Go through steps 1-10 again to get fillings
Shouldn't step(12) be - Discover Brandy Snaps are crushed and only fit for sprinkling on ice cream.
Or even step(11.5) lol
Adjustment (thanks to Mamy)
step 12) swear and curse that brandy snap tubes have broken in transportation. Go through steps 1,2 and 3. Find way to customer services and wave receipt about. Complain that brandy snap tubes have been sold in shattered pieces. Wait 5 minutes whilst replacement is found. Thank customer service assistant, wish them a happy new year. Follow step 9. (miss out step 10, unless you have made the awful mistake of browsing whilst on a mission).
Swear, and realise you forgot fillings.
12)Go through steps 1-10 AGAIN to get fillings For Funks Sake!
Point 8 - Shoplift them.......
I saw some in Aldi today
They seem like there's a lot of fiddly work involved. I just buy mine from M & S.

Just get yourself to Wright's Brandy Snap place in Brighouse Yorkshire and buy a few bags of the things, also available in loads of shops in the area.
