Internet Search Box On Ipad.

My son updated my OH's iPad to the latest iOS. He doesn't like it as the search box that used to be in the top right corner of Safari is not there any more, and he has to get the Google page from Bookmarks to be able to search for anything on the Internet. I know it's a minor thing, but it irritates him.

Is there a way to get the search box back, please?

Is there not a large box at the top of the screen?

I can't check at the mo, as OH has just gone out and the iPad has a code lock.
I think any box there might be is just for actual website addresses, but will check when he gets back. Thanks zacsmaster.

It's a combined address/search box. Very common in browsers these days.
