I'm gradually getting familiar with my new Ipad mini2 but am stuck on something. The other day I found a great "Beginners Guide forum" and was reading it the morning via my ipad. I wanted to look at it again this morning. Initially when I switched IPad on and selected Safari the screen simply displayed 4 Apps: Apple, Disney, ESPN and Yahoo. I have a feeling these might be "Favourites" but the only one I have added so far is Yahoo.

Somehow (don't know how) I found the beginners guide and read a bit, but now I am back to safari just displaying those four apps. Clicking on Apple takes me to apple.com. If there a way you can go back to previously views website pages such as the forum I was on? Thanks

Find the website, then tap the little box with an arrow pointing upwards (just to the right of the browser bar), tap bookmark, for locations you want favourites, that should then put a little square icon up with the others that you have. Alternatively. Tap the open book symbol, you can find your browsing history in there.
http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1595/en_US/ipad_user_guide.pdf

This is a link to the apple manual. To open it tap it and then follow Rockyracoon's instructions to save as a bookmark.
There is also," Add to Homescreen" when you tap the box with the arrow. This adds the site straight to your screen so it is always available, and you can see it all the time, to read at will.

Same thing really.
Click on the open book icon which is to the left of theaddress box in Safari

A panel will open on the left of the screen.

In it there are 3 more icons - open book, pair of specs and @

Click on the open book - you will either now see the word Bookmarks or History

If its Bookmarks, look down the list below that and you should see History

Click it

Now you should have your browsing history - scroll through it and fibd the site you're looking for.

Click on it to go to it

Now click on the open book next to the address box to close the side panel

Now follow the other posts above to bookmark the site for future use
Or, Add to Homescreen.
