Would the same apply to free kicks?

Suppose the player who sustained the foul was injured and stretchered off?
I don't see the logic behind this.....penalties should be taken by the player deemed to be the best penalty taker in the team

Next you'll be suggesting that whoever commits the foul to concede the penalty should go in goal to face the spot-kick
It can happen, but it's more likely to be a forward with the biggest boot! Usually these decisions are taken in the dressing room before the game. Hope this helps ...

obviuosly i´m a minority, why n.judge did you have to be ridiculous regarding the free kicks. personally i think its stinks having to choose the penalty taker before the game. still i think i´m entitled to my opinion.
