i was 80 in October and understood I should receive a ridiculous amount in addition to my state pension. i have not received anything or been notified so have they stopped it or should i have got it.

The extra 25p per week is added to the state pension at age 80 and need not be claimed. Folk are confusing that with a pension payable at age 80 which is not based upon contributions but is based upon residency in Great Britain and it is that one that folk need to claim in order to receive it.

It seems the way of the world today. You have to remember to claim for everything, or if you forget something else you should have done you can be fined. Authorities aren't there to make life easier for the citizens they theoretically serve, but apparently to cause as much grief and stress as possible.

You joke geezer as if I would claim for it lol.? They can keep it to help with their expenses I am sure they need it more than I do.
