Watching QPR v Leicester on MOTD made me wonder how well the winners of the championship compared with their fellow promoted rivals in their first season in the premiership. Be interesting to see how many times the Championship winners finished above their promoted rivals.

You can probably check that using the football league tables in Wikipedia
Or how often the 3 promoted teams went straight back down again as will probably happen this season especially if those two teams don't repair their pantomime defences :-)
