Anybody else getting fed up with seeing high speed action slowed down or slow speed action being sped up? Typically being shown on sports coverage and documentary programmes.

That's just one of the features of modern documentary-making that annoys, unless it is used solely to show something such as a plant growing...in other words, to show us a lengthy process condensed into a short time.
Another annoyance is the way in which the film people keep on repeating the same image or sequence or just telling you the same key fact. I always think of this as the "primary-school style".
And don't even ask me about accompanying music nowadays!

Exactly Quizmaster! It makes me wonder what sort of person the programme makers are directing their ideas to. I've droned on about excessive background music in the past [okay except for when you actually want to hear what is going on], and you are right the same 5-10 second sequences getting shown over and over again. I'm sure that is done to drag the programme out to a full hour...likewise the recap of what happened before the commercial break and what we can expect in the next few minutes...until the next commercial break, etc
