Not bad but I've seen plenty of catches far better than that one on a cricket pitch!

Anyway, isn't the 'greatest ever catch in football' the catch in the World Cup bidding process that requires anyone bidding to lick the FIFA president's ***?
Great answer Buenchico, but I think they've gone past the licking stage and more up the FIFA presidents ***
Saw this the other night and yes, it's out of this world.
Best catch I ever saw was by Vasbert Drakes of the W Indies in the World Cup, sadly no footage of it on youTube though.
As cricket is a different sport entirely and a cricket ball does fit nicely into a hand/fingers, yes, for me Beckham's is the best I've ever seen in the NFL.
Running backwards, horizontal, pressured/held by the cornerback and still catches a spinning ball one-handed.
I would have liked to watch that clip, alas I was treated to the following message

"Cannot play media. Sorry, this media is not available in your territory."

Hmmm...

Thanks for that Chris.
It was an impressive catch.
Not bad, but it's not real football, is it ?
Very good catch. I love the ones in cricket when the fielder catches the ball, realises his momentum will take him over the boundary, throws the ball up, jumps over the line without touching it and then steps back on the field to complete the catch.
