which will not affect your credit report. I have got myself in £14000 worth of debt, and now i don't even work. I am considering going back to work earlier than expected due to this, i want to clear it before i make any future decisions. I cannot afford the £250 per month payment. Can i go somewhere where they can help me?

The most cost effective way of clearing any debt is to contact those to whom you owe money and talk through your repayment options with them.
Many creditors would rather have 'something' regularly than nothing/bankruptcy proceedings from their debtors.

CAB may be able to help; contact them.
CAB will advise you.

If you can't make the full payments phleb, it will show on your credit reports though.

I was going to suggest CAB as well phleb. Hope they can help. I have a lot of sympathy for someone in your position, as we have had similar problems within my family. But there is light at the end of the tunnel and you taken the first step by admitting you have a problem. Keep us informed of your progress. Fingers crossed for you !
I'm currently using Step Change, they have been good but they were a little slow off the mark but now everything runs like clockwork
CAB give very good free advice
