Can anyone tell me how many lamba sensors does a RENAULT LAGUNA 2001-2005 Petrol 1.8L Manual 5 doors DYNAMIQUE 16V have.

Well we had one replaced in March this year,now we are told it needs doing again???? someone says it may have two.
that may have been a lambda sensor.
two, one each side of the cat.

yes you are right,just spoke to Renault and they tell me they call it a Oxy Sensor and there are two. Thanks for replying
yes apologies for my flipancy, It's lambda, after the greek letter.
JackKnife: If you're going to be ever-so-clever by correcting people....start with yourself, perhaps? Flippancy...and a capital G for Greek, for starters.
See....we can all do it.
Given the price many garages charge for Lambda sensors, I would suggest some are just saying they need changing to top up their profits.
Ask them if it possible to clean the sensors rather than replace them. My local garage and I clean the sensors and give them a few months of extra life ...
I tested this with my Audi, it had 4 sensors on it and Audi themselves 'plugged it in' and told me all 4 needed replacing, at £120 each.
My local garage checked the car and found just 1 sensor was reading as faulty and this one was cleaned and has been fine since. Just a thought.
