Have given up with it.

Like you, I was completely nonplussed through about 20 minutes of the show. At one point I even started thinking, "Did I miss last week's episode?"

And then it all began to fall into place. The girl who had her neck sliced in the cafe was the sister of one of the two blokes she was talking to. They were in the gang that supposedly kidnapped Ollie for the human trafficking ring, but it turned out that was just a ruse to expose the leak (who turned out to be the copper who had his throat sliced at the train station).

(SPOILER ALERT - DON'T READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU'VE NOT SEEN TONIGHT'S EPISODE YET)

Now that Ken Stott's character is out of the way, I don't know who the abductor could possibly be.

However, using the 'Miss Marple / Poirot' technique of it being the least likely person...I'm putting my money on the wife of the police inspector with the gammy leg.

i think mrs garrett was dreaming they was on boat but in reality she was in a home ?? am i right ?
Yes. The bit on the boat was in her head.
I didn't realise that was a dream. Did Tony kill Mr Garrett on the boat?
Lord knows, Barsel...would he be free if he had.....but he knocked seven bells out of him......Ken Stott played that part brilliantly....

Could have done without the dream on the boat bit....just made it more confusing...x
tez no I got that bit

his point of view in Hospital and she is demented

her point of view she is on a ship being waited on
Did it finish? I love it.
I'm watching it now (I can't watch it at night!).I'm hooked but I'm so confused!
///Did it finish?/// No netibiza there are still a couple of episodes left.x
If Tony did kill Garrett on his boat then he looks to have got away with it unless the creepy journalist found out and that's what's in the book. Also he would have all the video evidence but not be able to use it.
I'm glad I stuck with it as most of it is starting to make sense. I hope we get a decent ending though.
I bet there's no real ending, cos I suspect there'll be a 2nd series.
Yes, I think that it is starting to come together, but it seems that you can't miss any of it - it sounded to me like Ken Stott kidnapped the boy and he was part of a paedaphile ring (or however you describe it) - anyone agree?
I must be seriously dense, didn't realise the bit in the Indian Ocean was only in her mind, each week I watch the previous week's episode to catch up.
Well there's still three more episodes to go so I reckon quite a few more twists and turns yet. I'm not entirely convinced that ken stott was involved directly in the boys abduction, that would seem too obvious really. It wouldn't really explain why he put up money to find him either.
I'm really glad I watch it with someone, at least if one of us misses something the other one..generally..catches on and explains it. Very good though isn't it?
Tony did kill Ian on the boat and has never been caught, read on internet.
Have learned more about the series (which I love but find difficult to follow) from reading these posts than I ever absorbed from the series by watching it! ---Once again, AB to the rescue - thank you
