Is it easy to use as being a lady of mature years, I am still on a basic mobile at present ?

Yep, just switch on & all is revealed. If u get any probs, most younguns will show you.

Addendum, so many more features on todays phones, ie Apps for music/films/tv catchup/google/skype/games/email/facebook/wifi/maps etc etc all thru your phone and you neednt tap keyboards as there is voice recognition that prints your spoken words (as requested). Wifi gives free internet connexions from most public venues like library/McDonalds/pubs etc. Go for it, youll have the 'whole world in your hands' ;)
