Last night we saw Andrea, arguably favourite to win, in the bottom two. We then had the spectacle of the best singer versus the worst singer. Stevi did pull all the stops out and against another contestant might even have pulled it off again. However, why was Andrea there? I think most people think he is so safe that he will always be up amongst the leaders but they are wrong and now it is clear that ALL your favourites need that phone call.
What do you think?

I think the public might be being manipulated into making more premium rate phone calls?
I think that now the votes are probably very close between all the competitors, but I was still shocked to see Andrea in the bottom 2. But he was probably the only one able to beat stevi...which left me feeling a bit suspicious.
'That phone call' is now getting boring.

When the public have voted all week to decide their 1-6 why do they have to vote again and again to eliminate further contestatants? They have already made their decision. Demot O'Dreary is a embarrassment asking every few minutes for viewers to vote.
I would imagine asking viewers to vote is part of his job...he may very well be bored with it. ;-)
I like Andrea, but his performance in the sing off was not up to his usual standard.I actually that Stevi did a better job.
I don't dislike him but I'd never buy his music. He's too similar to loads of other singers.
Just before the result, the judges kept telling us how unpredictable the voting was this year and how anything could happen. Makes you wonder. I don`t like Andrea - his voice has tends to go into a strangulated, throaty sound every now and again and if I was hearing that coming out of the radio it would get on my nerves after a while.
The trouble with asking the public to vote on talent contests, whether it be singing or dancing, a lot of them are too thick rate them on their dancing or singing talent only. It should be left to the judges to decide, leave the plebs out of it.
Not a vintage X Factor year. I predict the winner will be about as successful as Leon Jackson or Matt Cardle ...

Probably the best thing to come out of it will be Only The Young, who will get jobs on Children's Television ...
Hasn't Matt Cardle made it in America?

I loved him :-)
I can give a shallow answer, I'm sure some of the public are the same as me - Andrea sings the same every week, he's not sexy to look at (I was hoping they'd give him a makeover and a shave) in fact he makes odd faces when he sings which are off-putting. I can hear he has a good voice but not the X factor. Stevi was so bad he was entertaining plus he comes across as an all round good geezer....
Whos the bloke I think won it about 2 years ago, who is quite ugly, never smiled, wore leather jacket and no personality, not Matt C?
dave 50 If the result is to they be left to the judges then they should not be mentors as they will vote for the person they are mentoring. It will always be left to the public vote because that is how they coin in the cash.

Not keen on Andrea, my favourites have already left, so I guess the best that's left in it is Fleur for me.
I think Fleur's performance on Saturday was excellent (and I'm not a fan of the show). I watched the repeat because I read that Cheryl criticised her dress, so wanted to see what the dress was like !
I did like Jay James, but hes gone now. I kept wishing Andrea would have a shave but he never did.
