Has anyone had this done as I would like to hear personal experiences of the surgery itself and life afterwards.

Please, no helpful comments about diet and exercise nor any points about the cost to the NHS as the operation would be self funded.

there is someone on here who did have one - is it vodkancoke?
The only thing I will say on the matter is make sure you have enough money left over for the removal of loose skin on the belly, bum, thighs, chest and upper arms, usually known as a 'full body lift'. It is very common when weight is lost very quickly.
Good luck.
Hc...I haven't but a couple of weeks ago I listened to a Radio Northampton phone in on the subject....

There wasn't one person who wasn't delighted with the results and the difference it made to life...x
Both my niece and her partner had bypass surgery as they were both obese and both had tried various diets without success. Seen them both just today actually and you wouldnt believe they were the same people, much happier and healthier. Its easy for people to point the finger (and offer 'helpful' advice) but until youve walked in another mans shoes etc.

Thanks all.
I think Vodka had a sleeve fitted?

There was a young lad on This Morning recently who said that although he had lost a load of weight, he would have done it given the benefit of hindsight due to the issues and pain it can cause and having adjusted.

I think the reasons behind obesity should be looked at and help given first as it might be that if someone feels constantly hungry or is a compulsive overeater that they may not cope as well with the severe restriction on what they can eat afterwards and issues eating too much or the wrong thing can cause.
Yeah....vodka&coke had one and looks fantastic.

I think the excess skin depends on how long you've been over weight and obviously how over weight..

Go for it. Even if it was on the NHS I'd still say go for it.
