Hi, my son has asked for some "skater trainers" for Christmas but the trouble is you can only buy them online from America & I just wanted to know what is the safest way to pay for goods online from there? I'm thinking credit card or my husband thinks PayPal may be safer? Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

That's what I was expecting to see, eddie - are those right, milosevic?
Boxy...its not the skateboard,it's the wheel attachments.
Yes, a set of replacement wheels that stop the board running away with you

Eddie...did you look at the links that hc and I supplied? The site calls it a "skateboard learning device".
Ebay has 'skater trainers' that are training shoes with steel toe caps. That is what I am assuming Milosevic wants for his son.
Perhaps milosevic will come back and confirm!
We are assuming that Milosevic doesn't know how to use Google properly.

I'm sure she has looked everywhere and can, in fact, only buy them from the USA. I would pay by credit card, to answer your question.
If it is the Skater Trainer website that was posted by hc4361. There is a voucher code fo $5.00 Off if you use the code

Yes it is indeed the rubber things that go on the skateboard wheels, not trainers that go on your feet. I do know how to use google properly but my son only told me about them yesterday so as I've got a terminally ill friend in hospital that I've been visiting,I've had limited time to look for them online and took my sons word for it when he said they were only available in America. Some quite sarcastic remarks on here to what I thought was a straightforward, innocent question. Thank you for your help all!
Order them soon so they arrive in good time :) I'm sure whichever way you pay will be fine.

Thank you hc4361, I will order them when I get a spare 5 minutes somewhere !
If you were so inclined (and had the time) I bet that would be a great import business.

Question Author
It sure would be a great business...I can't believe that someone hasn't brought them over here yet but I suspect it's just a matter of time before they appear on Ebay!
Paypal uses your credit card anyway.
I'd be included to have Paypal in the loop in the belief that it is at least one more place you can hand responsibility for compensation to.
OG, you don't get any protection under s.75 of the Consumer Credit Act re the credit card if you use a fourth party to pay.
In which case it sounds as long as it is broad.

Just as a postscript....we ordered the items..turns out they came from Tulsa ! Paid on CC and although the delivery took a while they did eventually turn up, thankfully! Thank you to all who replied a a Merry Christmas to you all!
Just a thought, but when stuff comes in from the USA do you still risk getting charged an import duty & VAT?
