Hi, my son has asked for some "skater trainers" for Christmas but the trouble is you can only buy them online from America & I just wanted to know what is the safest way to pay for goods online from there? I'm thinking credit card or my husband thinks PayPal may be safer? Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

can you get them on ebay ? then just use Paypal.

For safety I doubt there's much in it but credit card is probably marginally safer. Don't forget if the total value is over a certain amount (20 US$ I think) you will have to pay import duty and VAT on top.

Paypal is a very safe method of paying. Either method would be fine.

Agree with Prudie check small print as I looked at an ipad 80 odd quid but import tax and something else added it would have been cheaper in UK

Thanks to all....unfortunately they can't be bought from ebay...that was my first port of call! I think the total, including the shipping here will be around $26. I've searched the internet but I can't find them in any website here

Have you tried Amazon Mil? If you give the members the Product Name & details, I bet within 10 mins someone will fid it for you & cheaper. Good Luck.

The only entrys for 'Skater Trainers ' on Google are for people who train you in skateboard tricks, is that what you mean? Or is it training shoes designed for skateboards?

I think they are the trainers that have a little wheel hidden in the heel so the kids can skate along on them.

Make sure you are looking at ebay.com, not ebay.co.uk, if you are looking to buy from the States. I too am not quite sure what you mean - $26 seems very cheap for trainers!
