What does Answerbank bring to your life?

I see it as a window on the world and encounter people and views that I wouldn't find amongst my real world life, it is also satisfying to help where I can.

It answers crossword questions for me and I reply to some crossowrds, I tend to stay away from answerbank/chatterbank as by the time I want to answer there is a personal conversation going on between a certain group totally off course to the original post so I just give up. I find the same people are not only on chatterbank but every other topic

I started out with crossword, progressed to CB eventually, Tilly2 says it all for me really.

If you're at home with time on your hands there's no better way to pass it than in AB. There's raging, ferocious, debate in R&S, helping with Xwords, commenting on the news, and general chat.
AB opens a window on the world for me.

I joined 6+ years ago just to ask a crossword question. I've been here ever since. I've come across some REALLY lovely people on this site and when I do my half marathons for charity, some of the ABers have sponsored me. I feel that I know some of them really well and that many of them could become good friends if we all lived a bit closer.
Like most people, I sometimes have my own personal problems, but coming on to the AB and chatting for a few minutes every day, helps to take my mind of things.
99% of ABers are really great. As for that other 1%?? Ignore them and their nasty *** comments.
