Mont Blanc Fountain Pen

My christmas treat to myself was going to be a mac air but I've changed my mind and am going for a nice pen but where oh where can I get one from spending as little as possible - I don't think I mind even a second hand one
Has anyone any experience of buying such an item or should I forget that idea and go for new?

Mikey. Do the Lamy Safari & Allstars come with a broad nib or do you have to select it and if so which letter do you choose on drop down menu?

Personally I would go for the AL-star as its slightly heavier and the cool metal feels that much better than the plastic. But the nib units are the same.
Order the Z24 converter while you are at it...then you can use any ink you like in it.

If you are going to order one, let me know how you get on .... I don't think you will be disappointed !

I use a Lamy myself, great design, lovely pen, can lie around for days and always writes first touch.
