Poor old Morse. Every episode he, single-handedly, cracks at least 1 baffling case. Next episode he's back on 'point-duty' and all the thickos are back in charge.
Hope they've made some new ones, though, cos I do like it.

They're showing repeats on ITV3.
I'd guess most murder cases are nothing like the ones he solves.

I think it's better than Morse. But that could be because I've watched all the Morse's too many times.

I found it surprisingly good. Apparently Shaun Evans will be the last person to portray Morse, as the author, Colin Dexter, has stipulated that the older Morse must be John Thaw and no one else.

I do hope they make another series, the last one left our Endeavour in a real predicament, I'll say no more in case someone didn't see it.

According to Wiki in September 2014 it was announced that a new series has been commissioned!

The way Endeavour was treated, shaped the Morse, he became. Marvellous acting by Sean Evans. You can "see" the older Morse, in him.

Nobody else could play Morse, other than John Thaw. A good decision.
