I've just had a weird funny turn.

I went from relatively fine to out of breath and dizzy. The medication I'm on has never had any real side effects so I doubt it was that. How strange.

I have had that a few times Dizmo, and last night had to grab the kitchen door handle as I felt I was going to faint.

It only last a second or two but it can be scary, like a panic attack.

Have checked my B/P and thats fine.
Has it settled now ?
I've had a few attacks like that. Nothing serious but I think it is referred to as a mini stroke.

I'v felt light headed before but never had breathing problems. I did all the basic checks, temperature, blood oxygen levels, blood pressure and blood glucose. My blood pressure is always through the roof, usually 120/140. The doctor at the hospital has mentioned on more than one occasion that I need to be medicated for my high BP but never actually do anything about it. They just blame my anxiety. My heart rate never seems to drop below 100, even at resting. I should fight harder to have them look into why this is but I honestly can't deal with it mentally, I just ignore it.
Dizmo how you feeling now - you have any symptoms ie hot cold sweaty

You need to push you GP to get a consultant to see you if they can't deal with it

Yeah I'm breathing ok now, it didn't last long but caught me off guard. I changed my diet a few months ago after being rushing into hospital with necrotic pancreas. I don't eat any junk now and apart from a few minor hiccups with not eating for 3 days (last week) I'm back to eating again.

TonyV: Aye, I know I need to see the GP. The problem is that the last time I went I made the mistake of telling them about the abdominal pain I was, and occasionally still am, having. I spent all night and morning in hospital getting poked by needles. It just puts so much unwanted stress on my family, especially with what my step dad is going through.
Dizmo it may take some stress off your family knowing you are getting sorted, so they do not worry about you. Don't know what your stepfather is going through.
You know what you need to do - over to you.
Not trying to be hard on you at all, just concerned.

Yeah I know mate. My step dad has leukaemia; makes my problems relatively small really. I've been extremely lucky to be honest. I've nearly met the Grim Reaper on 2 occasions this year alone. That saying 'only the good die yoing' fits for me! I'll still be going till the age of 150. I'll see my GP as soon as my step dad goes back in for another month. The last thing I want to do is stress him out more than he already is.

Right I'm off to bed. That's another thing I need to start doing more often and for longer; sleeping.

Night all, it's been nice having a chat about things.
I agree some medication for your BP would be beneficial, visit as and when you can with the family situation. Take care.
Night Dizmo.x
Were you seated for long, before you stood? Could be the heart not pumping quick enough? I get dizzy if I stand too quick but am supposed to on respirator that I mostly forget when needed. Some buy a dizzy high ;)
Diz, hope you're feeling ok now. xx
