I am gob-smacked! I received the Telegraph pen and crossword companion notebook today for winning no.1145. Not so strange you might say; but I also won No. 1128 in July! I have been completing Telegraph GK crosswords for about three decades and only had a second prize once before of a £15 book token. A bit like the bus analogy? You wait for ages then two or three arrive together? Extremely excited!

Well done cruci .It's always the way . I won the pen for the Sunday Times recently .We never buy the Times as a rule but Mr S bought it for some sports report or something .I wasn't going to send it in as couldn't finish it .I actually threw it in the bin .Then the penny dropped and I smoothed it out and sent it in and to my complete amazement ,won it !.

Well done, always good to hear someone has won!
Here's hoping for the third then. Well done you! (and if you want to share out all your pens I can supply details).
Well done, old chap. err, any plans for the spare pen, like. ;)
(get in the queue Svejk :-)
I haven't paid for a pen in over ten years, but I seem to have new ones everyday! Don't leave it lying about, anything could happen ;)

i've been lucky enough to win a dupont and a telegraph pen and they are both treasured :-)
Would anybody else like to rub it in?

(Shouldn't complain really - don't send any in!)
oops, sorry milady. shows what a friend I am.
I won £3.50 on last nights lotto, cap'n. ;)
I have three Telegraph pens but still use my Parker.
Well I use a Morrisons' staff free issue pen - so there!
Lol. Don't sulk.
Well done cruciaddict.
I had a similar experience a couple of years ago.
After sending in the puzzles for decades I won the pen for the Sunday Cryptic and then within weeks the runner up for the Saturday one.
Still sending them in but not a cheep since.
Must be like the buses....
