Could it have been White Hart Lane .The crowd went home because of lack of interest and that terrible team the Spurs management are sending out to represent this great club when they got the "players in the changing rooms "
Nottingham Forest v Leicester City League Cup match 28 August 2007 was abandoned at half time after Clive Clarke of Leicester had a heart attack in the dressing room during the break. Forest were 1-0 up at the time, and in the replay Paul Smith, Forest goalkeeper, received the ball direct from Forest's kick off and dribbled the ball right into the Leicester goal whilst the Leicester players stood still. An outstanding act of sportsmanship. See http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clive_Clarke

Thanks weecalf. I am a spurs supporter and agree with what you say. Embarrassing.
The only match that fulfils the conditions stated was between Walsall & Charlton on May 21st 1963, the reason being that the pitch was waterlogged.
