It is illegal to refuse entry to public places if you are black or homosexual etc, but it seems it is quite in order to refuse entry to single adults.

Where is the danger, surely the children in this park are with adults to look after them so how could they be at risks from paedophiles?

"Ask the McCannes..." Without getting too bogged down, sqad, the comparison hardly bears examination. The McCannes left their daughter alone in a holiday apartment to go out to dinner and whilst that does not justify her being taken it is not quite the same as walking your child around a theme park. "...why would you as a 'single adult' want to go to any of these...

Should a lone adult watching his or her child playing in a football match, ask all the other 21 parent's permission, before he or she took a photo of their child playing?
AOG...you have to sign a permission form when your child signs up.
/Perhaps children should now be taught by two teachers in attendance instead of the single man or woman?/

Teachers are subject to extensive checks

Elderly 'bird watchers' aren't necessarily

jomifl, Santa can't be left alone with a kiddy and sitting on his lap nowadays is also a no no.

It's not really Santa though DB.
You also have to sign a permission form for photos to be taken in school. I don't know what happens if a parents refuses.

Divebuddy, if Santa was blindfolded and wore a straight jacket that would surely be OK?

Single adults need to unite to stand up against this sort of thing
lol, jj.
That is the problem methyl. The claim is that it wasn't clear, that the leaflet showed it to be a normal park & attractions, unless you dived into the small print on the leaflet. This is what is causing the "outrage", that folk can be taken in and journey there, only to be refused entry as if they were known to be a dangerous peadeophile.
Next thing, we'll be banned from buying ice cream, and roller blading on the prom.
.......especially at the same time!

/// The Park quite clearly states its policy on adults (male or female) who are not accompanied by children and has made provision for unaccompanied adults to view the birds of prey by appointment. ///

There is nothing on the entrance sign, but it is stated that it is on their web site, who goes on web sites to read terms and conditions especially if one hasn't a computer?

/// This is only a story because some idiot person who cannot read T&Cs raised an objection ... and the Daily Mail needed some page filler. ///

These continues anti Daily Mail jibes, just show how ridiculously silly some ABers are, it was not only the Daily Mail who needed some page filler it seems.

Birdwatchers needing urgent access outwith times designated as open to all could sport an all covering item of clothing as worn by female followers of the religion of peas.
Seems to get a pass in many situations where normal identification would be required.
