I know my great grandfather travelled to France/Belgium - to the front and 'tended' horses - but he was a civilian and I can't get a single thing on ancestory or war sites .... I'm drawing a complete blank! Any suggestions where to look? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hi Pragmatist, did you watch 'Countryfile' on BBC1 on Sunday at 6.30pm? It was a World War One Special . At the end of the programme it gave this website out. I understand your great grandfather was a civilian but it's worth a shot possibly? http://www.bbc.co.uk/guides/zwpx6sg
