You need to contact your local HSE office. Google"HSE Basildon" or wherever you live
my ex was a high head one there ..till he retired....you can be completely anonymous but must be emphatic that you consider it life thretening and a priority visit is needed..an inspector will come round with a warrant card for immediate access...
Life threatening work? That's really serious. What exactly?

You must talk to your employer about it too and ask for the risk assessments and method statements.
Too right. Only once you have discussed your concerns with your manager, and escalated it within the organisation should you contemplate approaching the HSE direct.
If HSE has any sense, it will ask you first would escalation you have taken with your employer before getting involved.
Your first port of call after your employer should be your union rep.
Er, no. An irrelevance these days.
Personally, I would go straight to HSE!

The problem is, if you cause a big issue within the company and they do nothing, then you go to HSE, the company will know it was you that went to HSE and they will most likely make life very difficult for you, believe me, been there and got the Tee shirt!!
