When I'm seeing should do front bar tack then left row first followed by back bar tack and right row. Gets as far as completing back bar tack but doesn't move forward to complete the right row. I've tried smaller size buttons but still does the same thing. Any advise please, I've used this gadget before with no problems

I've just demonstrated to my husband and realised I hadn't pulled the lever down which obviously makes it do the return !!!!--
