here comes the resurrection of one Gordie!
ya beat me to it!! just read the story..... just a pity our official ranter on behalf of the "Party Formerly Known As The Labour Party" has gone to beddy byes!!
it underlines what I've been saying for a few weeks, Labour is dead in Scotland and it will take a blood and guts politician like Gordon Brown to run roughshod over the Nippie Sweety for Labour to have any resurection.
she was never up for the job. a very poor orator and not a natural leader.
Shock! Horror!

Been on the cards for months.

She sounds bitter about something.
be interesting to read her interview tomorrow. maybe a change of political party is ' on the cards ' ?
She wasn't the best of politicians mind you when she took it on I barely aware of who she was. However I think she did the best she could with what she had.

It was one of the many reason I voted no in the referendum, I don't want a Scotland with no political choice. We would have effectivley become a one party country because the central parties, Labour, Libs and the Tories would have driopped their Scottish counterparts like a stone, we'd have been left in a political wilderness for years, SNP or nothing. The Nats were relying on that to build the country in Salmonds vision ( did he have one??) without any real opposition.
'' she did the best she could with what she had '' no she didn't, she was rubbish,
No, the Labour Party in Scotland are rubbish every one of them sitting in Holyrood, she wasn't that bad, no Donald Dewar or John Smith but it could have been worse
What a mess.
Will she even be missed? She's hardly made a dent has she?
true jan but she's had nothing to work with and little support form the Scottish party or a wider Labour party
The Labour Party are doing very badly in Scotland and are widely predicted to lose up to a dozen seats at the General Election. If you think Miliband is an electoral liability, then the leader in Scotland is 10 times worse.

I think she knew the writing was on the wall and has jumped before she was pushed. Shame there isn't time to remove the hapless Mr Mililband before May.

All ramping up for a very interesting 2015 Gromit
I don't know how a bunch of dinosaur trots like the Labour Party can continue to exist in the 21st century.

They run around like headless chickens, trying to pretend they are less trot than they used to be, and their entire manifeso seems to be ...

1. If you vote for a change of government, your life will magically become perfect.

2. Sorry for having bankrupted the economy every time we have been in office. We will try not to do it again.

3. People from Oxford University should not run the country. Blokes who drink lager all day in the Dog And Duck would be much better to run the country, because they are "in touch with the people". But Oxford graduates are okay to run the country if they are Labour. Then it's fine. No hypocrisy there, then.

Seriously, the Labour Party was created at a time when it was needed. But it's run its course. It is an anachronism. It should be abolished.
I imagine the leader of the Scottish Conservatives is still riding high?

And not up, even now it seems.
We should all be more like Cameron and embrace Europe.

He he is during snog a German week.
