They didn't have pork belly in my local... 5 different chicken dishes, 2 duck,a pasta and a fish.... Didn't fancy any of them. I like when they do the gammon with honey glaze, or the lasagne al forno ;o)
Our store did the lasagne. I bought the duck breasts I with plum sauce, rosemary potatoes (they only had carrot/broccoli/beans which I had anyway or swede &carrot) red currant and vanilla pannacotta to be washed down tomorrow night with the Puglia!
No sea bass or pork belly here either, seafood stew and ready roast chicken was the alternative.
Just curious as to why people call it pork belly. To me it was always belly pork.

knowabit...must admit I do rather enjoy the honey glazed gammon as well ! There was quite a lot of chicken dishes wasn't there, still pretty delicious though. We were hoping for the roast beef but there wasn't any left.

carolegif...I was tempted by the duck breasts with the plum sauce, wasn't sure if i'd cook them properly, that was the only reason I didn't buy them. They looked pretty good though ! Enjoy !

BlackadderV...i'm not sure why they call it pork belly...would it be because there was more pork then belly ? I know the main ingredient has to come first in advertising. Looks blooming good though !
I always called it belly draft.
We are having one tomorrow too - we are having the cheddar cheese croquettes (going to do them with a salad as a starter) then duck breasts in plum sauce and do new potatoes with them - then New York cheesecake. I got a bottle of rose wine but won't have any because I'm on the wagon for a few weeks.
that's not bad. There was a time when all anyone's meal deals consisted of was 15 different sorts of chicken and a vegetarian option, but M&S at least seem to be branching out. Cheap too.
We love those meal deals....and the lasagne is so tasty..Belly Pork is nothing like Pulled Pork...completely different..Pulled pork is like a joint of pork that has been really cooked and will not cut but just pulls apart...beautiful..yum xx
