I have just had the displeasure of watching a recording of Sunday Night @ The Palladium,my first question is ,has it been moved?, as far as I know this theatre was always in London,My second question where was the Bingo or the Meat Draw? This had all the makings of a Working Mens Club night out. Then that poor couple celebrating their Wedding Anniversary, first the Host tells them that they were going of on some sort of Safari, only to be told it was only a joke, then a Special surprise they were to sit in the Royal Box,when out comes a ladder that was so side splittingly funny the lady started to climb the ladder, before once again being told that it was a Joke ,why did they not use the Trampoline
The host gushing with superlatives only to be followed by acts who should be embarrassed to collect their Pay Cheques. One of the acts were on Trampolines dreadful probably handy if the lift is broken ,Sarah Milligan appalling ,the problem with most comedians on Television ,they tend to use second rate material as they prefer to save the "Good Jokes"for their tours. The Pierces who's latest CD I have, well I am sure they were miming and as for Art Garfunkel apart from trying to re-work Sound Of Silence,he Should have mimed, His vocals were so bad I thought that This might have been a comedy act ,the song was so disjointed. Then if things were not bad enough they bring out Jimmy Tarbuck,I have no idea ,well actually I do have an idea why he was on,probably because Paul Gambaccini was busy signing his new contract for The BBC.
Whoever the Genius who thought to bring back this Iconic Sunday Night Show ,should be thrown in The Tower Of and be forced to watch and listen to this Dross until their ears bleed.
I have left out a few of the acts not because they were not so bad rather that after a while one feels that it is Pointless .

Right, you have told us all about it.
Now, what?
I completely understand the cathartic process of a good rant!

Hope you feel better in a mo.

Did you not like it then?

I record all of these types of programmes so as to Skip the advertisements I actually watched at lunchtime today I had read a review on the previous weeks show ,my good lady say's that reviews are only one persons opinion.I do however when one has something to say hope for at least a little reaction which surely is better than none. When one reads a review I have very rarely come across a reply for example saying that the writer must have been watching a totally different show, programme, football match.
I do however appreciate that some within our ranks prefer a question,I enjoy taking an interest in the entertainment industry and as our ABer Andy-Hughes put it A Cathartic Process.
SlinkyKate yes I will have a quick glance ,just because I have seen a poor football match never stops me from watching another. .........................................
