You have an incredibly complex life and with your various health issues would do well to seek counselling, your GP could advise on where to go if you wish to go private for the sake of expediency.

You won't like me saying this but you are persistent in seeking immediate solutions to long term and life style problems, you need to go back to basics and look at the root of the issues you have.
I believe hypnotherapy can work, but we are dealing with the mind here so what works for some may not on another, and all shades in between. It's my opinion that folk tend to think of it as some kind of miracle cure. "Go under", the practitioner says some magic words, and everything is right afterwards. It's not like that, it's more of a nudge to your subconscious to believe something can be done and to try not to sabotage the conscious effort you're going to make. I suspect it may help for depression even though that is something the conscious mind has less effect on, because one is still nudging the part of the mind that is being so down about everything. Worth a try in my opinion.
"i am very very sceptical , once had stage hypno , out of around 10 people i was the only one who did not get hypnotised."

Ah yes. I recall, whilst on holiday once, a hypnotist asking the whole audience to try something, I think to sort out those most likely to be easily hypnotised. Didn't work on me either. But that is a different scenario. You aren't in a private area with someone trusted, but on public display with someone you think is going to have fun with you.

Recall that no one actually hypnotises you, they make the suggestions and you opt to go into a hypnotised state yourself. You need to trust the hypnotist and be relaxed to get there. And be aware it is still your mind in control even if once you opt to go into a hypnotised state you are more susceptible to suggestions. Which is, of course, the whole point.
depends what you want from it

smoking - very good
when I got hiccups from an abdo tumour ( space effect ) I had my brother hypnotise me out of it/them. Everyone was amazed - but I was motivated ( numerous case reports saying it could be done ) but of course no effect on the tumour.

If you're depressed - I echo the advice to seek medical advice - it DOES work better.

If you want to be hypnotised on your way to being Governor of the Bank of England ! then give up now it wont work

so.... try it and see - but dont spend toomuch on it
it is not aquick fix
