hi, want to buy my 2 year old a dolly. When i was a little un the doll to have was tiny tears. However, i notice they are 20 quid!!!
anyone recommend a classic type dolly but cheaper? I don't need it to wee or cry or anything. Ideally would like it to have some hair she can style (oh memories of "girl's world")

Is there a Toys r Us near you?
Dolls are expensive, just you wait until she wants all the bits that go with it. 'Baby' dolls don't seem to ever come with any hair. Fortunately thing 1 now likes Monster High which I quite like as they are more macabre than Barbie and don't have any of that stupid PC *** attached to them.
Lots of kids stuff in all the home bargains and range stores ...I would just look locally ..or toys r us ?
If you had the time - do what my mother done to me.

She bought me a boy doll for Xmas many moons ago and knitted a blue suit for it.

The following year - she put a dress on the same doll and "superglued" a lovely wig with plaits. That's true.

God she must have thought I was an oul fool.
