I have been advised to go on these tablets as I am so anxious about anything and everything what are the side effects.....someone told me they put on 30 lbs has anyone been on this tablet and not put weight on....I don't know the best balance worrying about my problems or worrying about being overweight when I have just lost 2 stone.....can anyone enlighten me please....

Have you thought about asking for blood tests to see what vitamins, iron, etc you are low on? Sometimes this can be the cause of how we are/feel and yet often doctors don't pick up on it but are quick to dish out chemical tablets. I hope you get your advice but think about alternatives as well. Best wishes.

That is the bottom line........for what reason have you been prescribed Amitriptyline as a side effect may be an increase in weight..........maybe, not necessarily so.

It is for you to decide whether a potential weight gain is worth alleviating the symptoms for which you are taking this drug.
