Are you worried? Should we try and avoid public places? Do you wonder if the person next to you on the bus or tube is carrying the deadly virus?

I'm alarned about the airport contacts, lcg - especially if we have to use the loos.
boxtops......he would have had symptoms, but he lied about having contact with an ebola patient. he took a pregnant woman an put her in a taxi to go to hospital. he probably lied about having symptoms too, until it was bloody obvious. me? i'd be screaming for help, but some will run, hide and bury their head in the sand. it's those people and the liars we all need to worry about!
With cutbacks in the NHS and A & E Depts closing, how the hell would they cope.
if it were me, boxtops.....i wouldn't be going anywhere near an airport at present. it is bad enough going to work because i work with a lot of african nurses who come from that region and have family flying back and forth like nothing is wrong. as i said before.....that region needs to be quarantined and the virus brought under control before it all goes to ***. mark my words.....caravan in wales?
talbot - kills around twice as many people and there are no birds involved, just people. yes....it is bloody seriou

Kills around twice as many people

I don't think Ebola has killed anywhere near as many people as bird flu yet.
Are you a scientist ?
fusion5....they are not going to. if it does happen, around 50% of the population will die, irrespective of what anybody does about it.
twice as many people........50% as opposed to 25% death rate. err....you don't have to be a scientist to work out that ebola kills about twice as many people who catch it.....as opposed to those who were killed by bird flu. and yes....i have a science degree :-)
NO! I'm more worried about another 5 years of tory mis-rule. Now, THAT is serious !
janbee.....your post will be a reassurance and comfort to the victims of this dreadful disease in West Africa.

Thank you.
My theory - pack 20 of them onto a plane from Freetown or Monravia and whip them over to Damascus to deliver aid to ISIS - helps cure that little issue in Northern Iraq and Syria.....
It is serious and while I accept the plight of the Africans isn't the message we should be spreading a simple one, until there is the suggestion it is here lets not panic! If it does arrive in the UK then be sensible and follow the instruction the medical experst give us and we should be able to ride it out. Maybe a decent arctic blast would kill the little bu&& er
I imagine bookings for holidays in The Gambia will be at a record low. There'll be some bargains to be had for the Christmas holidays.
Actually we could do something productive, in a similar vein to DTC's suggestion.... why not give the virus to some of our worst murderers, paedos, rapists and the like, starting with the two scumbags that killed Lee Rigby, then feed them all the experimental drugs... some of the drugs might work....then again hopefully, sorry unfortunately some might not work
