We are thinking of going to Florida for Xmas (Gulf Coast and Orlando). Can anyone tell me what the weather is like at that time of the year. Have been between March and October but never that late.

I have friends in several locations in Florida and they always say it's nice weather there. Were you thinking of Sarasota?

Hi Janbee, thanks for the quick reply. Yes, we always go to Siesta Key just off the coast of Sarasota. Definitely our favourite part of Florida.
Lucky you bean. It's lovely there. I envy you. Have a GREAT time xx
It can be cool and damp up in Orlando - I remember a queue of customers lining up to buy Mickey Mouse sweatshirts in Disney World on Jan 1 (I was one of them). And you occasionally get night frosts destroying the orange crop. I don't know about the Gulf Coast.

Miami and south to Key West is almost always warm and sunny, though.
Isn't Florida full of 'snowbirds' in winter? That is Canadians and those from the north of the USA who have come south for the warm weather
