I have read a bit online but find it all a little confusing to be fair. Is going on the pill detrimental to me and having a baby in the future? I hate using condoms because I find they hurt me I don't know why.

Certainly a very effective birth control method. Your quack should be able to give you all the answers you need.
Yes, I agree with janbee..........except i would replace Doctor to "quack."
All I can say is that I was on the Pill for years and now have two kids. :-)

But your GP or Sexual Health Clinic will be able to answer all your questions.

...I should add that I came off the Pill before I had the kids, they weren't the product of ineffective Pills!
I used the pill between 3 children then IUD to stop further pregnancies. I have a bus pass, & no ill affects.

perhaps she has more than 1 partner? ANyway, none of your beeswax!

yes, but she asked you a question first, and as you "don't know what she's going on about" can't really understand why you answered, except to comment on her sex life.
Regardless of her sex life, or how many partners she may (or may not!) have,
I've always found the mini-pill to be good with regards to less side-effects.
It's not massively reliable though, so chat with your nurse beforehand as she'll be able to advise you much better than any of us can.
I also hate condoms. They totally ruin the mood, and feel minging! :-)
and the pill does not affect fertility in any way - have you not heard of people missing a few/taking antibiotics (which make them ineffective) and getting pregnant? look at the nhs website for full information - it tells you everything you need to know.....x
i have said it before and here it comes again, The pill does not protect against STD's! If you find that using condoms is painful then maybe more lubrication is needed?
Ah, yes, I should have added to that... if it's a new partner, I wouldn't be going 'pill solo' only.

That's just gross. Think STD's!
there are many different variations and combinations to consider..go to a family planning clinic to look at all the options x

I might give it a go though. Tamborine how long were you on it for? btw I just noticed your avatar. The M looks like the birth position of a woman hehe that makes me chuckle.

Oh Jordyboy, the rhythm method is great, but you can't always find a brass band at 3 o'clock in the morning.
