That sounds weird. I'd suggest uninstalling it and then downloading it again for a second attempt at a reinstall.
Your link isn't available to those of us who don't 'do' Facebook.

However the message you're seeing doesn't seem to mean much anyway:

It's probably more likely that a shortcut has gone missing than the actual program. Try going to 'My Computer' or 'Computer' (depending upon your version of Windows), double-clicking on the icon for your hard drive and then on 'Program Files'. (You might need to go via your Windows account name to get there, depending upon your version of Windows and how it's configured).

Then double-click the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware folder and on the Mbam icon. If that launches the program you'll know that it's simply a shortcut problem. Close the program and right-click on the Mbam icon, selecting Send To > Desktop (Create Shortcut). Problem solved.

If that doesn't work, download and run the program's uninstallation tool from here:
http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mbam_clean
ensuring that you restart your computer at the end of the process.

Then download and install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware again from here:
https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/
taking great care to remove the tick, which you'll see during the installation process, against an option to take a free trial of the 'Premium' version

Chris thank you but I don't do FB, I copied that link off answerbank. And I'm on a Mac, does that make any difference to your instructions?

Quite possibly but it's nearly two decades since I last used a Mac, so I've not really got a clue! Sorry!

Actually, I'm rather worried as to exactly what it was that you had on your computer anyway since, according to their own website, Malwarebytes Anti- Malware isn't available for Macs!

Thanks for trying to help Chris. I thought I had Mbytes. On Sunday I took a screenshot of an item I had won on ebay. Looking at that screenshot now I can see an icon on the bar at the top which is not there now. This icon is of a hand in the STOP position of a traffic policeman and I believed that was the MB logo. Anyway it stopped the ads and it's gone now. Sigh.

Seems I had Adblock, not MB. But now Adblock is charging. Can anybody recommend a free adblocker for Safari please?
adblock plus doesn't charge. Maybe you need to uninstall and reinstall, assuming you want it.

OG I've sorted it now thanks. I didn't realise it was in Safari Preferences and had become unticked somehow. Oh the relief:-))
