Tv Licence Renewal

I've been trying to renew my licence online for over a week now, after filling in the application the site then tells you it can't be done.
I have sent 2 e mails, both remain unanswered,and phoned. I was told that they're having problems with their site.....for over a week.
Has anyone else had problems with them?

I pay mine online every year and did so last Thursday - got a printable TV Licence yesterday.

Thanks for prompt reply, yes I've always done mine online...until this year, tried again 15 minutes ago and still ca't do it, off on holiday and the licence expires tomorrow,will take the iPad to Chianti country and hope to renew from there.

I do a direct debit for mine. It is essential that I have a tv licence - Life would be impossible if OH couldn't watch all going sport at all times!

If you are intending to pay it then they do give you a little leeway. From experience I know I forgot a couple of years back and I got a phone call (I think) as a reminder and was able to do it then without penalty. Were I you I'd not stress over it whilst on holiday.

Oh not sure how essential it is, my TV worked just fine in the intervening period :-) Anyway perhaps they don't want you to pay because they plan to get rid of the licence ;-)

Mamya, you got a printable licence - are they still sending out paper licences by mail, did I imagine that that's stopped?

Badly worded - I got an email Licence I am able to print off.

LOL, I didn't twig that - but I still wonder whether they are mailing hard copy licences out these days if you pay by DD.

No idea,just pay the full whack when renewal date comes round.

I set up a monthly DD years ago and have never looked back. Its seems to be the easiest way to me.

Because the Tories fixed the licence fee for three years, I received one paper licence to last for that three years. I pay by DD monthly.
