I just don't get this quiz could someone maybe give me a clue to the title

Up for the cup ( or a tale of 6,3,7) the answer is a phrase with 2 rhyming words. If I could just get one I may understand the rest of the quiz better!

Hi,vic-lou, I got a few answers eg nifty fifty and nitty gritty but I'm afraid it's too airy fairy for me lol Closing date is on Tuesday-wonder how many quizzers finished it??

had a look at new quizzes and it said up for the cup quiz ....a story and cryptic football teams .

yes sorry for the delay,it is a story with short phrases that rhyme, my thinking is if I get a couple I may get in the zone and get a few more but as it closes on Tuesday it will be going back with many gaps,but I will send it so that my fee gets paid.

At least two words must rhyme in each answer.
