Identical Twins

I've just seen on Facebook a link to a news bulletin that may have a friends Mother or Aunt featured.

Neither my friend nor her cousin are sure whose mother it is!

Now I do know a few sets of identical twins and struggle to tell them apart but I would like to think I could recognise my own mother!?!?

Are there any identical twins on AB, do you feel a loss of identity when old photos are looked at and the comment is 'that's John......or maybe James'. If you are an identical twin, can you look at old photos and know if it is you or your sibling in the pic?

I did once see, just walking along the road, a pair of identical twins that were so identical that I honestly thought my eyes were playing tricks. The twins were adult men, both dressed in similar t shirts and jeans.
My sisters-in-law are identical twins. I struggle to tell them apart in old photos, but they always know who is who.
I'm mates with identical twins. Years back I couldn't tell them apart until they spoke. Nowadays you can tell them apart because one looks older than the other. Different lifestyles.

Woof, St Thomas's Hospital in London has a long running research project involving Identical Twins. Once a year the hospital hosts a party for them, it is really weird walking through the grounds and seeing 100 people but only 50 different faces!
I was walking my 6-year old son down the street when he encountered his first pair of identical (and identically dressed) twins......as they got closer he shouted out "Snap!". LoL

That is so sweet Jack!
I went on holiday with (one) identical twin
and we ended up calling him by his twins name to which of course he was used to answering

if the photo was a twin perched on a horse, then it was one twin
and he was er steaking cars it would be other
otherwise inseparable

Oh the horse could tell, and when the 'wrong' one fed him,
the horse hid behind a tree ( sort of lenfthways), and when he was well into the field and far from the gate -chased him across the field and bit his bum as he vaulted over the gate.
I am an identical twin. Yes, I can tell us apart in old photographs. And I do answer to his name because so many people are too visually lazy to tell us apart.

Canary, do you know it is you because you remember the photo being take. Or know it's you because you know it's you?
My mum and her twin were identical but now they barely look like siblings. My aunt has a staple diet of Kalashnikov Voddie and doner kebabs. My mother is like me, she lives on fish, vegetables and salads with the occasional treat here and there.

I look at baby photos of them and I can tell which is which.
