The entire Asylum process needs a rapid overhaul.....but would taxpayers be prepared for the Authorities to throw even more money at it?
They should all be detained in Immigration Detention Centres (prisons) until deported.
When I lived in Hing Kong in the 80's there were thousands of Vietnamese Boat people landing. They were economic migrants. They were put onto tents built on a runway of camps on an island until they could wither be sent back or dispersed to other countries.
Last time I stayed in a Holiday Inn it was full of not just migrants but people presumably waiting for social housing. The corridors were awash with children and women in dressing gowns. I wouldn't mind but we were paying £80+ a night.
And you are surprised? Until we ignore the liberal handwringers and stop subscribing to the eu and the echr this will continue.
Six to a room? That doesn't seem right.
