Interesting article, strange how some people only look at the past through rose tinted specs.
Good article, Linda.
since you seem to specialise in repeating Mail horror stories, here's a Mail story about Goodwin, asking how bad you thought he was when he was actually working

Politicians are like babies nappies.

They should be changed regularly, and for the same reason.

Jno. Just shows how the Mail looks at both sides! Just remember who was in power at the time of the disastrous take over of Amro, championed by Salmond, Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling, with good old Tony Bliar wining and dining and giving hima knighthood. This was never mentioned in the "Better together"campaign which run by, oh yes, Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling.....
Hopkirk, I like your comment. xx

So do I? That goes for the lot of them!
By the phrase " the same direction" I presume you mean financial rack and ruin linda ? Unlikely but Salmond has yet to answer really important fiscal questions. My best guess is that if there is a YES vote today, he will have to go cap in hand to the IMF sooner rather than later, in order for his new country to work at all. My estimation is that it will sooner rather than later.

Yes but will the IMF lend to him after he renades on Scotland's share of the National debt when he throws his toys out when told be can't have the pound. Their credit rating will be Nil.
I doubt very much if Salmond and Co have even thought of that, as they prefer to go forward using the Crisis Management school of governance.
There's little point in trying to trouble some people with the facts, J!
If he played is cards right Scotland could do very well for itself - after a bumpy ride for a few years until it got going.

Salmonds problem, especially after one of his chums vowed vengeance on companies, is that no one will trust him so raising capital will be difficult and expensive.
Salmond still has his trump card up his sleeve: that he will stand down following a Yes victory, because his work will have been done.
me fears moral and financial turpitude of exquisite levels.

I would prefer GB over AS to run Scotland - when is an election scheduled if there is a yes.
You are right, jeffa, his reward to be elected to the House of Lords?
I think there's something fishy about this guy.
that's rich coming from Sponge Bob's plankton!
